Shopping desires

After ordering THE BED, I’ve decided new bed linen is needed. Doing a quick search I came across this website…nothing to do with linens but what a cool desk!

Found at made.com

Check out some of their stuff…great prices! I’ll be back for sure.

Kitchen inspiration

Ok with the deadline looming it is necessary to make some decisions…so many ideas…I can’t do it! Having a quick flick through living etc last night these are the things that we liked…

Love the kitsch colours.

Clean walls...no cabinets, nice lights!

Wood, metro tiles & industrial.

Liking the black walls but will leave that for the bedroom.

interesting cupboards but LOVING those tiles.

It's all about the shelving under the clock.

Rustic charm, ours is a Victorian house & love the chalkboard door.

Chalkboard again! Great fridge...want one.

Kitsch but too much clutter for me.

Metro tiles again. Very charming place to cook.

Love the clean look but with character.

hidden storage...love it!

funky little tiles behind sink...yum.

Cement floors are the way forward, also the way to an empty bank account!

Great idea to add texture & colour.

So there you have it. Now HOW do I put all that into one kitchen?!

There are a number of things we already acquired for the new kitchen, garden room. The main being the David Trubridge pendent, we got white rubber topped laminate flooring from Ikea (This was meant to go in son’s bedroom, but we decided to paint his boards instead as they were in good condition) and a table, bench (in storage in our attic and under our bed) and odd chairs…oh yeah and not to forget the mans artwork made with paint sample cards which is a representation of New York. So already something to work with. I’m just fearful of ending up with a cold, white boring space when I want warmth, character and love. Watch this space…

I NEED this wallpaper!

I’ve just been reading some other blogs this morning and happened upon emmas.blogg.se. A really beautiful blog that I will be going back to for updates. She showed the most beautiful wallpaper I have ever seen and I’m not really a big fan of wallpaper, although we have been considering it for our bedroom revamp. I really want some of this but the price tag is a bit high for the quantity you get. Don’t get me wrong, after reading the site from the people who make it I appreciate the quality and love that goes into it’s production I just can’t justify the cost right now and there would also be shipping on top of that at it is produced in the USA. My husband loves it too and is considering the possibilty of creating something similar using vinyl cut outs. I love the orange one too so it would be a flip of a coin as to whether we have black in our room or orange in my sons room.Descisions! Thanks Emma for the inspiration.

I was looking for interesting wedding photography,

and found it, and came across this stop animation

movie. Absolutely beautiful and a fantastic choice

of track from Cinematic Orchestra.

Well done to all involved!

New blogger Alert!

Ok, so I’ve been online a lot recently and getting rather addicted to ‘other people’s’ blogs. Surely my life is not so dull that I have to just read about other people’s. Well let’s find out…

My intention is to bore anyone, who is willing to ‘listen’, about our home, our life and our love of all things design. All feedback, comments and questions are gratefully received. If I can add a little light to anyones life then that’s an added bonus. Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride…

NOTE: (Blog V—-n alert!) Had to change title of page due to insane amount of spam, for certain little
blue tablets designed specifically for men!
